Washable Baby Wipe Solutions
Some recipes for home made solutions are listed below. Just mix all the ingredients together. They are best stored in a spray bottle or a lidded container (away from inquistive fingers) and replaced every couple of days. Any recipes that need hot water should be cooled before using on your baby's skin. Most of the recipes require the use of oil, if the type is not specified try plant oils such as Olive oil, Sunflower oil, Almond oil or Calendula oil, not Johnsons baby oil or other mineral oils as they are hard to wash out. You can leave out the baby shampoo/wash if preferred and change the ingredients to suit your needs.
Basic Solution
2 Tablespoons good quality baby shampoo or baby wash
2 Tablespoons oil
470ml water (distilled is best as it will last longest although tap water is adequate.)
Tea Tree Solution
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil (or 1 tablespoon of Calendula Oil)
2 Tablespoons good quality Baby Shampoo or wash
470ml Hot water
2 drops Tea Tree Oil
Aloe Vera Solution
470ml Hot Water
60ml Aloe Vera Gel
2 drops Tea Tree Oil
 Almond and Chamomile
2 Chamomile Tea Bags
2 Teaspoons Almond Oil
470ml Hot Water
Steep the tea bags in the water then add the oil
 Lavender and Chamomile
1 Chamomile Tea Bags
1 teaspoon Oil
1 Teaspoon good quality Baby wash or shampoo

Marie recommends the following recipe (Thanks Marie)
My solution is chamomile tea, a couple of drops of lavender oil and a small drizzle of olive oil or almond oil. My son use to suffer from nappy rash frequently until I started using washable wipes and this solution. We recently went on holiday and used disposable wipes, by the time we returned home my son had a nappy rash again. Within 48 hours of using my washable wipes his rash completely cleared (I didn't even need to apply a cream).
