If nothing else, we can always discuss the weather.  At least my early summer tan hasn’t worn off yet although it might get washed off with the amount of rain we have had here in the past week in the middle (ish) of the country.

Thanks to all of you who came to visit us at the Umbrella Fair in Northampton.  This event gets bigger and better every year and we LOVE it.

Easyfit version 2

New gorgeous prints from Tots Bots in the Easyfit version 2 nappy

Have a quick peak at some of the new prints for the Easyfit birth to potty nappies. They are slimmer than their predecessors and the sewn in soaker is now backed with micro terry to improve the absorbency. Available in six lovely new patterns.

Teenyfit

New nappies for those little tiddlers – the Teenyfit nappy is designed to be used from birth to about 12 lb.  Perfect for smaller babies who often appear to be drowning in their grown up nappies.  Again these are available in 6 patterns.

And of course......the nappy wraps (size 1 and 2) have also JUST ARRIVED in the new prints. 

Terry Squares – Nappy Folds

Are you one of the ever increasing number of old school converts?

I can’t quite believe quite how many parents are turning back to the old fashioned terry square as a great economical option.  With this in mind I have spent HOURS slaving over pen and paper trying to draw and describe some common nappy folds to help you along.  Do take a look and see if you can make sense of the instructions in the Help and Advice Centre.

Bamboo terry squares

We are now stocking luxurious 50cm bamboo terry squares by Nature Babies.  You won’t believe how soft and slim these bamboo squares are.  

If you aren’t using squares then maybe it is time to reconsider?  Combined with the essential nappy wrap from Nature Babies (below) you could be saving even more money.  

The essential wrap is proving to be a huge success for all parents on a tight budget.  It is a simple white PUL wrap (no funky fabrics) with multi sizing poppers in the front designed to fit from about 9lb to about 28lb in weight.  It is based on the original Nature Babies medium classic popper wrap.  I think it is the perfect solution for a “no frills” washable nappy economy wrap.

The FLIP stay dry system

The Flip stay dry system is the most sensible nappy I have come across for a while.  It is very simple and basic.  An outer washable cover, a washable pad and an option for disposable pads.

The Flip is a birth to potty nappy system from the makers of bumGenius.  The pad is quite substantial and has seamed folds so that it fits easily in each nappy size as you change the sizing poppers on the outer cover.  The day pack includes 2 outer covers and 6 pads to get you started.  The best bit really is the option to use disposable pads while out and about or on holiday and all you need to bring home is the outer nappy cover.
